COMPETITION

Every year we hold a modelling competition open to all members. This year's competition was held on Friday 12 June 2009 at the clubrooms.

The number of models entered was again up on last year, with a very high overall standard reflected in the closeness of the results in most categories. There were 37 separate entries in the competition, with 14 members attending and casting their votes.

Thanks to all the members who entered models and voted in the competition, to Murray Simpson for arranging the paperwork, David Taylor for acting as scrutineer and our President Catherine Norman for presenting the prizes.

Locomotives

Scratchbuilt - South Eastern & Chatham Railway 0-4-0 crane tank in 7 mm scale 0 gauge by Peter Betts

Kit built - ex-GWR 42xx 2-8-0T (Cotswold kit) in 4mm scale 00 gauge by John Nuttall

Improved proprietary - Modified Hornby Virgin HST power car in 4 mm sale 00 gauge by Graeme Bedwin

Overall - South Eastern & Chatham Railway 0-4-0 crane tank in 7 mm scale 0 gauge by Peter Betts.
